The Story So Far...

I was a self-employed contractor for about a decade, when life decided it was time for a change. During that period, I was focused on building my marketing skills and exploring opportunities to develop my freelancing work full-time. I engaged in various activities, including ad copywriting, content creation, video creation, and email marketing, to hone my abilities and gain practical experience. Although turning my part-time freelancing work into full-time did not pan out as I hoped, I learned a lot and was excited to bring those skills to a new role as a marketing account manager.

I found a job I enjoyed, as outlined by this poem:

Once upon a time, I found a job so sweet
As a marketing account manager, I felt complete
Managing client expectations was the name of the game
Keeping everyone in harmony was my claim to fame

I onboarded clients and kept track of retainer hours
I liaised between teams and clients, showing my powers
I reviewed copy and content with a creative eye
And made sure deadlines were met, reaching for the sky

A clear communicator, I took detailed notes
Planning weeks in advance, hitting high notes
A task master, catching even the tiniest detail
Solving problems and puzzles, like a detective on a trail

I reviewed and checked, with brand voice in mind
And stayed laser-focused, leaving no mistake behind
A team player, rolling with the punches
Empathy and openness, easing clients' hunches

I care about my clients, and their business goals
And my coworkers, who were my other half, modeling my roles
So if you're looking for a marketer with style
I'm the one to hire, who'll go the extra mile!

Unfortunately, that great job ended suddenly due to difficulties the company is having. I am approaching this unexpected change in circumstance with a positive attitude and looking at it as an opportunity for something fantastic.

And for a bit of fun, here's some limericks and haikus extoling my marketing virtues.

There once was a marketer so great,
Managed accounts with a confident gait,
She liaised with clients,
And managed all projects,
Her skills were never up for debate.

She could create a content calendar with ease,
And keep track of retainer hours with expertise,
She reviewed copy and edited with care,
Ensuring all marketing messages were clear and fair.

With her meticulous attention to detail,
She caught every error and flaw without fail,
Her critical thinking and problem-solving prowess,
Helped her meet clients' goals with ease and finesse.

She was a clear communicator, with a planner's mind,
A taskmaster who left no detail behind,
A team player who remained cool under pressure,
And a strategic thinker with a constant measure.

Her empathy and openness helped her through,
Clients and coworkers' hesitations anew,
And with her genuine care for all,
She ensured every campaign stood tall.

With her creativity and strategic vision,
She set the tone for campaigns with precision,
Her copywriting and video skills,
Were a bonus that gave her clients thrills.

So if you need a marketer who's top-notch,
Look no further, give her a watch,
She'll manage your accounts with utmost care,
And ensure your campaigns are beyond compare.

The Haikus:

Marketing prowess,
Clear communicator too,
Clients feel at ease.

Planner extraordinaire,
Organizing with great care,
Projects flow with flair.

Attention to detail,
Meticulous task master,
Marketing assets sail.

Quick problem solver,
Puzzles solved with ease and grace,
Client needs resolved.

Strategic thinking,
Critical data analyzed,
Goals met with blinking.

Collaborator,
Team player with heart and soul,
Marketing star, ya!

Openness and trust,
Change is met with empathy,
Clients feel the love.

Marketing wiz,
Content creation to boot,
My skills are the bomb!
